Mouthwashes are a great way to clean spaces that can’t be reached by a toothbrush. Mouthwash contains chemicals that allow it to dissolve these particles and remove them from your teeth when you swish them around your mouth for a minute. Mouthwash also helps to reduce bacteria in your mouth that promote tooth decay.

It is often best to go with a mouthwash that contains fluoride since this help to clean your mouth and restore your enamel.

3. Dental floss

Here is something else that should be part of your daily oral care routine. Dental floss helps you to remove food particles that are stuck in crevices between your teeth. This helps to ward off tooth decay as many of these tights spaces in your mouth are perfect havens for bacteria that promote decay.

4. Consume foods that restore your enamel

Dairy products like milk and cheese are good for your teeth as they provide a good source of calcium which is essential for strong bones and teeth. Other food items like green vegetables, carrots, and certain fruits like apples are also good for you teeth.

5. Stay away from sugary substances

Sugar is one of the worst things you can expose your teeth to, so try to avoid anything that contains lots of it. These food items facilitate tooth decay and will weaken your enamel over time. If you cannot resist having a sugary treat every now and then, make sure you brush your teeth afterward.

6. Visit your dentist twice a year for a cleaning
