White Fillings

In the past, dark metal fillings called “amalgam" were used to fill your cavities. Amalgam is a mixture of metals, such as silver and tin combined with mercury. No studies have conclusively linked mercury in the fillings with unhealthy effects on your body, however, composite resins are an alternative filling material that wear like tooth enamel, look like enamel and bonds to the enamel. Composite resin filling material does not have to be handled like a hazardous waste like mercury.

Dr Jon discontinued using mercury-based metal fillings in 1989. The use of high-tech resin-bonding materials allows him to repair teeth with a natural appearing restorative material that will strengthen cavity-weakened teeth. These restorations allow years of trouble-free use.
